Cat Madden is a powerhouse performing, recording, and session musician offering her expertise in soul / blues / rock / jazz / contemporary vocals, guitar, songwriting, and stage-coaching. She has a devoted following of students who range from beginners to active professionals.

An in-demand artist with a powerful stage presence, Cat Madden has shared the stage with massive Canadian acts such as Said the Whale, Serena Ryder, and Jessie Reyez.  She collaborates with phenomenally talented musicians in her band, currently featuring members from Five Alarm Funk, Brass Camel and Ruby Waters. Cat regularly performs to sold-out crowds in Vancouver’s hottest live music venues, Guilt & Co., WISE Hall, RIO Theatre, and Fox Cabaret.

Cat Madden holds a Bachelor of Music from the Institute of Contemporary Music as well as an Extended Diploma in Music Performance from the British Academy of New Music and has completed Berklee’s “Essentials of Teaching Contemporary Voice” becoming familiar with the latest research in the field of vocal production across a variety of genres.

Kathryn Fitzpatrick, B. Mus.

Kathryn welcomes students of all ages, and takes delight in guiding them through the sometimes mysterious and always magical world of music. Her approach to teaching is comprehensive, encouraging, and perhaps most importantly, fun. She meets each student where they are, and seeks to identify and support each student's unique learning style. Kathryn completed her Bachelor of Music at the University of Ottawa, and subsequently completed a Diploma of Musical Theatre at Capilano University. A versatile performer, she has appeared as a musician, actor, and singer with vocal and instrumental ensembles ranging from Baroque to contemporary, as well as musical theatre productions both onstage and in the orchestra. Her latest solo show, In Her Voice: Changing the Conversation about Mental Health through Story and Song, is currently in development and will premiere in 2022 as an educational performance in post-secondary institutions across the province.
