Harp Lessons

Tegan Peemoeller, M. Mus.

Tegan Peemoeller has been performing internationally for over a decade. A founding member of the Griffyn Ensemble and the Seven Harp Ensemble, Tegan has performed with orchestras in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, as well as competing internationally as a soloist. Before moving to Vancouver, Tegan was a founding teacher at Harp Centre Australia, and presented group harp workshops for the Canberra Institute of Technology. She was guest adjudicator for the Sydney Harp Eisteddfod, provides specialist presentations on contemporary harp composition techniques and arranging for harp, and was a recent guest at a harp masterclass series at the Victoria Conservatory of Music in BC.

A third generation music teacher and member of the BC Registered Music Teachers’ Association, she takes great pleasure in sharing her passion for music through performance and through teaching. She believes the best learning takes place when students are encouraged, inspired, and challenged in a supportive, non-threatening environment. Lessons are specifically tailored to meet each student’s interests and abilities. Tegan is just as enthusiastic about helping beginners discover the joy of playing the harp as she is about helping advanced students prepare for performances or exams, and she has experience working with students of all ages. Her expertise and professionalism are combined with a whimsical sense of humour and holistic approach that has encouraged students to describe her as an “engaging, sympathetic, and inspiring teacher.”
